Play Station

Today we did something so fun. My friend Sheryl and I took the kids to the play station at one of the beaches down the way a little. It was so fun. All the kids had so much fun...it was kind of spendy so definitely something you would only do once or twice but a great thing to do once and say you've done. They had all kinds of rope swings and slides. Even Gavin did a rope swing it was so funny. I did some too and I'm sure I will not be able to move my arms tomorrow!

We are also getting so excited for our first visitors that will be arriving in 3 weeks! Dave's parents are coming to visit during the break and we are all SOOOO excited! We are already planning some fun things to do and some great food that we have to have them experience!

Potty Training Boot Camp a Success!!!!

He did it, we did it! Reimer Potty Training Boot Camp was a success! Gavin is potty trained!! We are so excited. On Monday, when the last diaper was gone, we gave Gavin some underwear and away we went. The first day he hated the underwear, refused to wear them....walked around naked and would NOT under any circumstance sit on the potty. I started to get a little worried and started to second guess my decision but everyday got a little better and now he hasn't had an accident for 2 days!!!! Boot camp took 5 days! He has woken up dry the last two nights and goes potty by himself as soon as he gets up. He even had the Hershey squirts today and made it to the bathroom every time! I don't even have to ask him he tells me "mommy I go pee" it is SOOO cute. Once again the Reimer training program was successful, I think I'm going to write a book!

A trip to Le Galion

Well it has just been raining and raining this week! But we did get a nice day yesterday so a group of us went to my favorite beach on the island Le Galion...the locals call it baby beach. It is very calm and you can walk out for what seems like forever. We even had some up close and personal time with some Angel fish. We had some Pringles that were ruined from sand so we crushed them up and put them in the water and before we knew it we were surrounded by Angel fish. And when I say surrounded I am not kidding...they were everywhere! We had a great time...got a little to much sun, but fun was had by all!

Tonight we went to the movie Hairspray. The boys had no idea what to expect but they really seemed to like it. This was one of my favorite movies growing up but non of my friends that went with to see it ever saw the original! How very sad! This one is really different than the original, it seemed to be the theatrical version instead of the movie version, but it was still very good and we had a great time! We went to the late show though so Gavin missed half the movie. We love going to the movie theater here it is so "American" and the prices are SOOOO cheap. The cost of a movie is $6 and a popcorn and pop is $5. My favorite part is the AIR CONDITIONING!!! Can't wait until the next kid movie!!!

Happy 4th of July to all!

We hope you had a great 4th of July! Ours got off to a slow start, it really did not feel like the 4th. But the Spouses Org had a pool party/ potluck and that really helped. We had sparklers and American Flags....and tons of FOOD!

Still, I really miss those 4th's on Lake Francis. Water skiing, the parade, street dance, bbq ribs (the ones that my Dad would spend hours smoking). The 4th has always been my favorite holiday and while we had a great time I sure missed the 4th on the lake....and watching those fireworks across the lake.

On a whole other note....do you know what happens when your 2 and you want to spike your hair up like your brothers?

You end up using the whole thing of wax on your head when your moms not looking! Naughty boy!
