A trip to the zoo

Well, we haven't been up to much. Reece didn't have school yesterday so we went to the zoo. We had a good time and a lot of kids went so it was fun for the kids. Today, we went to the beach with our friends and had a good time. One of the guys brought a skim board and Reece was trying it out, he was pretty good at it and had a lot of fun.

Dave is very busy studying, haven't seen him much at all the last few weeks. He has tests on Monday, Friday and then again on Monday so he is busy preparing. Yesterday, we saw each other one hour at dinner and then he didn't get in until 2! I don't know who its harder for, him having to study all those hours or me being stuck with the kids with no adult interaction! But it will all be worth it in the long run!

Well we sure miss everyone! Hope you all are well! We're thinking of you! Only 329 more days!

That is soooooo not funny

So we adopted Chewy from an animal shelter down here and he is a great cat. Very calm and easy going with the kids. We love him and can't wait to bring him back home with us and show him some cool weather after having to live down here in all this heat.......but darn it Chewy!!! He loves breaking out the boys bedroom screen and going outside to play, his favorite thing is to bring us back little lizards which he'll play with until he kills them or the kids rescue them. His second favorite thing to bring in and play with is cock roaches. Luckily if we happen to have on in the house he'll catch them and kill them which is so nice! But tonight as you can see from the picture he brought in a RAT! You have got to be kidding me I almost fell over dead! Think God it was dead or I really would have croaked! He keeps throwing it into the air and it is really creeping me out. Seriously I am not touching that thing, Dave better be ready to take care of that when he gets home! YUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome Breakfast

We had our Spouses Organization Welcome Breakfast today and we got to meet a ton of new spouses. We have 13 people that came down to the island this semester. We had a great time meeting each other and having yummy food! Its great to see new faces and help the newbies with questions they may have and help them feel more comfortable with their decision to take on life on the island. Without this group I would have been lost this last 10 months!

Here are two of those people that keep me sane my friends Erica and Michelle.
I'm really excited because this marks the first month that I can officially say that I won't be here this time next year. I know seems like a little thing but down here right now it seems huge!!!
