Grand Case, Welcome breakfast.....fun fun!

Some of my friends and our kids headed over to Grand Case this week to try some food in the Food Capital of the Caribbean. We ate at a little place called Sky's the Limit and the food was really good...and even better, CHEAP! The kids and I ate for $10! We got a plate of ribs, coleslaw, potato salad, plantain, rice, green salad, macaroni, spaghetti and johnny cakes. The food was so yummy and the company was even better! The cutest part was when we walked through the town to look at the shops, Gavin and his best pal Skylar walked hand in hand! They look so cute, his first girlfriend!

This morning was the Welcome Breakfast. It's the time that we welcome the new spouses to the group and say hello to the old ones. We had a yummy breakfast and ever better conversation! I'm also happy to report that it was awesome to get to just go this time and not have to plan it and make sure it ran smoothly! I'm really liking not being in charge anymore and getting to be just a participant! The new group did great! I have mixed feelings b/c I only have one more welcome breakfast....I can't believe it, that went SOOOO fast!

Michelle's Birthday Party

Last night we had a Girls Night Out for Michelle's birthday. We went to a newer resturant called the Tijuana Yacht Club. They have really yummy food and ever better Margaritas! We had a great meal and conversation and then headed over to watch a movie. We saw a chick flick of course! We saw 27 Dresses and it was really good! After the movie a few of us went to the casino where I lost $4.70! Oh well, it was a really great night out and fun was had by all! Happy Birthday again Michelle!

So excited.......

The Reimers' are pleased to announce that we are welcoming a new member to the family in August! My brother Matt and his wife Amy are pregnant! We are going to be Aunt and Uncle for the 4th time, we have 3 nieces now-1 by my brother and 2 by Dave's sister. We are all so happy and still sending sticky baby vibes to Amy. They have had a very difficult time getting and staying pregnant so we are thrilled to say that she is 10 weeks along now and the heartbeat is good and strong! Amy I am SOOO happy for you guys and know how excited you must be! I'm extra thrilled that the baby will be here only a week before we get home! Thanks for waiting, LOL. Give Hailey big hugs and kisses from us!

A day of celebration....

Well, Gavin had a great birthday. It started off with lunch with some of our friends at McDonald's. He has been talking about his birthday for weeks but today he was so shy he would freeze up anytime anyone tried to talk to him about his birthday!Tonight we had a yummy dinner of tater tot casserole and then it was cake time! I made Gavin a dirt cake, since we don't have a oven. When we sang happy birthday it was so cute b/c Gavin sang along...it was so funny. So all in all a pretty good birthday!

Gavin is 3!

Three years ago today we got the last member of our 7 club! Gavin was born by c-section at 2:02 pm weighing in at 9 1/2 lbs. Now he has continued to grow like a weed an be our biggest child, now at 37 lbs which is slightly bigger than Carter who is 19 months older! For those of you who don't know about our 7 club it goes something like this- Dave was born on the 17 along with Reece, Carter and Gavin, I'm the 27th along with Dave's Mom, Dave's Grandma was the 7, and Dave's sister was married on the 27th! Hence the 7 club!!! Even more fun the boys b-days are 1-17, 6-17, 12-17....could we have planned that any better!

So Happy Birthday Gavin, I can't believe you are three already! Where has the time gone? My baby is 3! I can tell already that 3's are going to be a little more trouble than 2 was....since he keeps throwing temper tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants, but hopefully this stage will pass quickly!
